The Lounge Café


The Café was added to the Centre in 2011, and has become more and more popular over the years - so much so we have had to extend! It’s been a long time coming but finally our Wintergarden arrived from Germany in August 2023, doubling our size, but still retaining our warm and friendly atmosphere - and leaving enough room in the courtyard garden for a few tables too!

Laura makes all our cakes and biscuits, and our ever popular cheese scones. We’re always developing new cakes, and you’ll often find Laura and the team doing cake sampling - we have lots of offers to join the sampling team, but sorry, I’m afraid there are no vacancies!

We have taken great care choosing our suppliers, only serving the very best quality and wherever possible we source our products locally. We only ever use free range eggs in our baking, and all our cakes are fresh, never frozen.

We welcome dogs on a lead in the courtyard garden, but only assistance dogs inside the Café. Cyclists are very welcome to bring their bikes down the side alley for safe keeping whilst enjoying the Café - we know how precious your bikes are! Please just ask at the front desk, and we’ll open the side gate for you.

We have worked hard to create a special place within the Centre for our customers to relax during their visit, and your feedback is always appreciated and valued.
