Annie Rose's Attic

Hello, my name is Sandi and I am trading as 'Annie Rose's Attic'. Annie Rose was my maternal Grandmother. My Mother, a tidiness and de-cluttering fiend, blames her for my desire to fill my house with 'stuff'. I, on the other hand, just like 'stuff', not only for its aesthetic appeal or usefulness, but for the stories it tells of times & people gone by. I like to research the social history behind my pieces: putting them in context adds to their appeal. Many are family pieces and come with their own tales. My paternal Grandmother, on the other hand, was one of the last Victorians - very daunting, but keeper of stories and trinkets which probably sparked my interest in all things historical. My personal preference is for pieces from the Victorian era right through to Mid-Century Vintage. If it's interesting, beautiful and/or useful, I'll usually give it a home! Alongside these pieces you will be able to see a few of my hand-crafted homewares and decorations, many of which are made or re-purposed from vintage finds. I am on duty in the Centre on Tuesday afternoons.
